As part of its commitment to provide efficient solutions that meets the business expectations of its valued clients, MeditabTM, key provider of revolutionary software solutions combining both Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) guarantees to meet the “meaningful use” as well as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) certification standards defined by CMS faster than any other ambulatory EHR in the market.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, more commonly known as the “Stimulus Package”, was signed into law by President Barrack Obama on February 17, 2009 in order to improve the economic growth of USA through allocating investment initiative for strengthening healthcare IT.

President Obama promised to spend $50 billion in over five years in order to improve the situation of the American Healthcare sector. At the same time, he planned to offer incentive of $17 billion through Medicare and Medicaid encouraging providers or physicians to adopt certified EMR.

Physician incentives are allocated in two different payment forms of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements in addition to grant programs wherein—qualified physician could start earning incentives in 2011 by demonstrating “meaningful use” of EMR.

Those providers who are not adopting EMR by 2015 will see reductions in their Medicare reimbursements of 1 % in 2015, 2% in 2016 and 3 % in 2017. The possible incentive will be offered maximum of $44,000 per physician, depending on when providers implement EMR.

In order to receive the full amount, physicians must be implementing EMR by 2012; therefore, no payment will be made available after 2015.

Providers will get incentive either from Medicare or from Medicaid under the stimulus package, because they cannot get both as per the law notes.

Under the ARRA, providers will earn from $ 21,250 to $25,000 for the first year of payments, which may be not after 2016.

Because of this, Meditab seeks to ensure that its product functionality will give its valued clients the tools necessary to demonstrate “meaningful use” for its products if properly used as instructed in its product documentation.

“Our software is and will remain interoperable. We will use our best efforts to keep a general-released version of our software in compliance with the Ambulatory Electronic Health Records interoperability standards set forth in the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHITSM) certification program or such other CMS-sanctioned, national interoperability standard applicable to Ambulatory EHRs,” Meditab Software Inc.’s President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Patel underscores.

He said that Meditab’s software will continue to meet established requirements so clients can participate in federal health incentive programs.

“Through our Software Maintenance Services we will continue to be diligent in providing efficient features that enable the software to capture and report clinical data to support our clients’ efforts to participate in federal pay-for-performance and "pay for meaningful use" incentive programs,”adds Mr. Patel.

Meditab guarantee that should it fail to use its best efforts to keep a general released version of its software in compliance with such applicable national interoperability standard for Ambulatory EHRs, end-users can terminate its agreement.

End-users can also obtain a refund of the Meditab software license fees that were paid provided that a written request is given and should the company fail to take reasonable steps to correct failures within sixty days from the receipt of the written request, then end-users may return all software purchased.

Meditab ensures an obligation applied only to the standard code, screens and workflow of the most current version of its software products.

“We always want to deliver the best services and products to our clients because we want to help them achieve their business goals so we will constantly ensure that they get what they deserve so they will be satisfied with their investment,” added Mr. Patel.
